At our Christmas Eve lessons and carols service tonight, all I could think of was all the people close to me who are spending their first Christmas without a loved one.
This year has been full of deaths in our circle of family and friends, and my thoughts and prayers are with every one of you who is grieving a deep loss this year. This is for you—Debby, Donna, Barb's family, Yvonne, and James, Phil, Karen, Laura, and all the rest of Jim Lumsden, Sr.'s family, including me. And everyone else who has lost someone dear to them in 2014. May you see the light in the darkness this Christmas.
