Jiggety-jig! We finally moved into our new house here in Pittsfield this past Monday. On Friday the cable guys came and hooked up our TV, phone, and internet, although they panicked when they saw my Mac and couldn't get the internet fully functional so I had to do it myself on Saturday. Which actually turned out to be no problem at all--I just turned everything off and then back on again and hey presto, connection! Macs are really not the trouble PC-heads make them out to be. But anyway...
Both James and I are suffering from stress-induced brain death. We can remember nothing, can't find anything, and lose everything else. At work I stare blankly at customers who ask simple questions and forget how to do tasks I've done a hundred times before. We're praying that as things get sorted and put in place at home, our minds will sort themselves out as well. They'd better, or we're in Big Trouble! Casey the Wonder Dog is feeling pretty discombobulated himself, and it's no wonder--the poor old guy spends the first 10 years of his life in the desert then suddenly finds himself in the cold, wet Northeast surrounded by deer and squirrels and leaves and sneezifying grass and all sorts of other alien smells and beings not in his struggling mental vocabulary. He's really unhappy about having to go out at night and in the early morning when it's freezing cold, but there's no indoor doggie plumbing so he has no choice. I don't know what he'll do when the snow comes--probably try to hold it for 3 months.
[Many thanks to Lou Stiegler, our church music director, for the cartoon.]

Love the cartoon. I'm assuming by now that Casey has made it truly his home several times over (a la cartoon caption)? And love the stuff about the dehumidifier. Welcome home!
