Seasons Change

We woke up this morning to our first real snow, fat wet flakes falling from a white sky, collecting on the trees and piling up on the ground. I threw on boots and a coat over my pajamas and took my camera and the dog outside. When I downloaded the pictures and videos onto the computer, I discovered some photos I'd taken a couple of weeks ago of the fall colors still on the memory card. So here is a visual record of the changing seasons in the Berkshires. (The photo taken at night is of the annual Halloween Parade in Pittsfield--it's a huge deal where local schools build floats and compete for first prize, which this year was won by the float in the picture, based on the film Finding Nemo. We chased the parade all the way to the end to get this shot because a woman had been to JoAnn's buying sparkly fabric for the mermaids' tails, swearing me to secrecy after she told me what it was for!)
