Staycation

The dog and I in our favorite spot—the back deck. Where we'll spend lots more time in the next 2 weeks while James and I are on vacation. Mostly a "stay-cation" since we'll be here at home until next weekend when we go to Montreal for a little adventure in Québecois life. Over the next 10 days we plan to visit the Clark Art Institute, Mass MoCA, Project Native, Jacob's Pillow, farmers' markets, maybe the Appalachian Trail. Spend time that we haven't had yet to get to know the Berkshires better.

We actually drove up to the Clark the other day but got there 45 minutes before closing time, so rather than do a rush-job on the galleries, we spent the time (and $100+) in their fabulous book store. So we're going to give ourselves the better part of a day there to do it justice. And now that we've discovered a fabulous Mexican restaurant in Williamstown (where the Clark resides), there's double the reason to go! Good Mexican food is hard to find in these parts…

Staycations are the best! I had one last week--although I didn't get as much quilting time in as I'd have liked I did take your niece to SeaBreeze with some of her friends for a day--not something I usually have the ability to do. So it was good!

Casey looks quite happy in the warm sun. Back in his element.
