The storm the meteorologists have been predicting arrived last night with a beautiful fury. Driving home from work at 9pm was a bit of a sledding trip, necessitating a detour after the truck slid relentlessly into the right lane when I wanted to make a left turn, forcing me to take a right into the grocery store parking lot to turn around… Fortunately I live just a mile from work, so it was a short struggle. And as soon as I got home, I pulled on my snowboots and set up the tripod to get some pictures! This morning I woke up to sunlight and snowfall, a combination that fantasy is made of. So, more pictures. (You can see them all in the slideshow at the bottom of the page.) This is what I love about winter and missed for the 10 years we were in Tucson. The driving in it, not so much.

Real nice snow scenes--like the birds. Looking forward to seeing your photos of the lastest snowfall. I get a nice peaceful feeling viewing your snowscenes. Frost on the window reminds me of being a child intrigued by the frost on my bedroom window and melting my handprint into the frosty pane.
