James and I spent 24 hours in Brattleboro, VT, on Thursday-Friday doing lots of our favorite things: prowling book and record shops, going to a live music show (the first act was terrific, then it went downhill fast so we snuck out to the Tap Room next door), sampling local brews, people-watching (with private commentary), eating good food, walking around, and sleeping. All very restful and just what we needed to lift a bit of the midwinter blues. The rest of the photos I took are in the slideshow at the bottom of the page.

Winter Retreat
