What It's Worth

Every time we leave the dog at the kennel and they ask if we want him bathed and groomed while he's there, I think, "Why pay someone else $40 to give him a bath and brush him?"


Every time I give the dog a bath and brush him, I think, "Why NOT pay someone else $40 to do this?!?"

I happily pay $40 per dog for someone else to do it. Between Spencer's crying and Sam's now-wet-shed-hair sticking all over me, it's worth it to maintain my loving relationship with my dogs. I used to say the same thing about having the vet clip Pogo's nails whenever he was in for an appointment. He and I didn't do well together on nail trimming so it was worth maintaining that relationship as well. If only I could have paid them to shove pills down his throat. Cat teeth are pointy!
