Megrims

Cold temps – sufficient snow to play in + lack of sleep = DEPRESSION

• blue devils, megrims, vapors, vapours, blues - a state of depression; "she had a bad case of the blues"
• blue funk, funk - a state of nervous depression; "she was in a funk"
• melancholy - a constitutional tendency to be gloomy and depressed
• slough of despond - (formal) extreme depression

I prefer to have "vapours" rather than "vapors"; they're so much more refined.

What better describes depression than a "slough of despond"?

If I say, "I've got the megrims," it will make me laugh, and that will help pull me out of the slough. 

I've got the megrims.
